Abstract
The culture of Brucella organisms from 3 out of 34 prostates and 1 out of 43 Fallopian tubes is reported. The patients from whom the prostatic specimens and the Fallopian tubes were removed were not suspected of having brucellosis. Brucella is apparently endemic in this region and may be cultured from individuals who are clinically not suspected of having the disease. These results may explain the culturing of Brucella from cases with Hodgkin''s disease. Keywords
