Abstract
The optokinetic, horizontal, per- and postrotatoric nystagmus was recorded before the consumption of alcoholic beverages by 20 young test persons as well as 2, 4, and 6 h later. The results showed that the most evident alterations cannot be recorded during the highest blood alcohol concentration but only 6 h after the consumption of alcohol. It was evaluated that the decomposition products of alcohol provoked the vestibular disorders. Bei 20 jungen Versuchspersonen wurden optokinetischer, Lage-, per- und postrotatorischer Nystagmus vor sowie 2, 4 und 6 Std nach Alkoholgenuß registriert. Die Resultate zeigen, daß die objektiv meßbaren Veränderungen nicht zum Zeitpunkt der höchsten Blutalkoholkonzentration am größten sind, sondern erst 6 Std nach Aufnahme des Alkohols. Dies besagt, daß die Zerfallsprodukte des Alkohols eine wichtige Rolle bei alkoholinduzierten Vestibularisstörungen spielen.
