Abstract
Resistivity measurements made on beta -Co52.0Ga48.0 from 22 to 750 degrees C reveal a negative temperature coefficient of resistivity up to approximately 625 degrees C. Based upon ageing experiments, a division of the resistivity behaviour into a dynamic and a kinetic process is performed. The dynamic process is associated with the spin cluster model, while the kinetic process is associated with the growth or shrinkage of the cluster. The activation energy for the kinetic process is evaluated from coarsening theory. Keywords
