Abstract
A dual beam evaporating system has been designed for producing single crystal alloy films and has shown improved performance over an earlier model. The main features of the system are the individually pumped source and evaporation chambers and a water‐cooled baffle between the two source ovens. These features eliminate the problem of cross contamination and facilitate achievement of any desired alloy composition ratio. Keywords
