Abstract
Using monoclonal antibodies and human affinity-purified antibodies specific to the Plasmodium falciparum 126-kDa serine-rich protein, SERP, we found that these antibodies have no direct effect upon merozoite invasion at the concentrations tested but can cooperate with blood monocytes to strongly inhibit P. falciparum in vitro growth. Keywords
