Abstract
Using immunofluorescence, vitellogenin has been identified in the fat body of ovariectomized females of Porcellio dilatatus. Using immunoradiography of incubated fat body in leucine-14C-labeled medium, this organ has been demonstrated to be the synthesis site. Storage, but not synthesis, has also been proven in a particular kind of hepatopancreatic cell which might play a part in the resorption of vitellogenin excess. Keywords
