Abstract
Impedance-frequency characteristics of glow-discharge tubes, filled withpure neon, over the frequency range 200 c/s-70 Mc/s have be e n obtained at several values of steady tube current. Molybdenum, nickel, zirconium and tantalum were used as cathode materials and in the case of molybdenum tubes the gas pressure was also varied. The measurements confirm that there are several delayed effects in the glow discharge which affect the impedance characteristics considerably. A detailed analysis of the results for a tantalum-cathode tube gives the magnitudes of the consequent delay times and the complete equivalent circuit of the tube. Keywords
