Abstract
The expressions for the electric field in a hot-plasma-filled waveguide with an infinite axial magnetostatic field due to a harmonically varying slot and double-grid excitation are given. Ion motion and collisions are not included. Asymptotic expressions for large distances from the excitation are given which consist of pole and saddle-point contributions. It is shown that for typical experimental parameters, the saddle-point contribution is negligible. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
