Abstract
In the standard inflationary scenario with inflaton potential , the resulting density perturbations are proportional to . Upper bounds on require . Ratra has shown that an alternative treatment of reheating results in , so that an upper bound on does not put an obvious upper bound on . We verify that is indeed a possibility, but show that is still required.
