Abstract
Wavelength demultiplexers, based on the two-mode interference principle, are demonstrated for the first time in the AlGaInAs/InP material system. Wavelength separation between 35 and 100nm has been achieved in the 1.3–1.6μm spectral range, with channel isolation as high as 17dB for unpolarised lightKeywords
