Abstract
In previous years the City of Chicago practiced superchlorination prior to coagulation, Sedimentation, and filtration followed by postchlorination and ammoniation as water entered the distribution System. On Jan. 1, 1973, both Central and South Water Filtration Plants converted to providing free chlorine residuais throughout the city. This article discusses results of the full year of Operation.Keywords
