Abstract
By means of a quartz spectrograph and recording densitometer measurements were made throughout the spectral region from 5790 to 2536A of the relative intensities of light scattered by pure water. The scattering coefficient was found to increase with decreasing wave-length in fair agreement with the λ-4ƒ(µ) expression of the density fluctuation theory. Keywords
