Abstract
The Zn mediated reactions of cinnamyl chloride with aldehydes and ketones in THF–NH4Cl(aq) give—besides α- and γ-addition products—phenyl propenes and dicinnamyls, indicating the presence of radical intermediates in the reaction.Keywords
