Abstract
The electron attenuation length in NaCl has been determined to vary from 18(2) AA at 76 eV to 47(3) AA at 1403 eV by means of a photoelectron overlayer technique. The results have been analysed in terms of three theoretical models and reasonable agreement established. Keywords
