Abstract
Mononitro derivatives of selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon air pollutants with 3 and 4 condensed rings were synthesized to obtain samples for measurements of mutagenic properties. Crude purification of the compounds was carried out on gravity columns prior to final purification by HPLC [high pressure liquid chromatography] to a purity of .apprx. 99.9%. Structural isomers were identified from NMR, MS [mass spectrometry] and UV spectra. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
