Abstract
Buff and Wilson's modification of Slater's ``new approach'' to unimolecular rate theory is used to calculate a pressure-dependent transmission coefficient for the isomerization of a restricted rotor. The calculation takes account of the possibility that a newly produced product ``molecule'' may back react before it is collisionally stabilized. Keywords
