Hypogonadism After Microwave Radiation

Abstract
Microwave radiation emanating from radar and other communications equipment may cause corneal cataracts and testicular damage. A 31-year-old man was repeatedly exposed at close range to high-powered microwave emission over a four-year period. Testicular biopsy revealed tubular atrophy with focal necrosis and interstitial edema. Hypospermia continued for a period of at least a year after the patient's last exposure.
