Abstract
The number of effective drugs for the treatment of autoimmune uveitis has greatly increased over the past 40 years. Many patients previously condemned to blindness can now be successfully treated with new immunosuppressive agents. New targets of the immune system, such as cell adhesion molecules, may offer novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment of inflammatory disease. However, since the catholicon for uveitis is not yet available, the search for new antiinflammatory therapy continues. Keywords
