Abstract
Using mathematical modeling, the authors developed a tool that can be manipulated to illustrate how the cost effectiveness of new diagnostics for pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) can be influenced by the interplay of test performance (sensitivity/specificity) and test price. Cost effectiveness is maximized by high specificity and low price. Although offset to some degree by the sensitivity analysis, the model's global parameter estimates...Keywords
