Abstract
Study of the mineral composition, fossil content, and physicochemical conditions of deposition of the phosphate beds of Morocco leads to the conclusion that they were formed in a shallow basin. Although lithologically similar to other north African phosphate deposits, they are distinguished by a greater abundance of radiolarians and foraminifers, the presence of sponge spicules, and the abundance of detrital inclusions. Keywords
