Abstract
The oxidation of 3-hydroxyflavones by super-oxide anion in the tetrahydrofuran results in oxidative cleavage of the heterocyclic ring to give 2-benzoyloxy-phenylglyoxylic acid without the loss of carbon monoxide.Keywords
