ÜUBER DIE UMSETZUNG VON 4-AZIDO-1.3.5.7-TETRAMETHYL-1.3.5.7-TETRAAZA-4λ5-PHOSPHASPIRO [3.3] HEPTAN-2.6-DION MIT TRIPHENYLPHOSPHIN: DARSTELLUNG UND STRUKTUR EINES UNGEWÖHNLICHEN STAUDINGER-PRODUKTES MIT DER GRUPPIERUNG λ5PNλ4P

Abstract
The title compound, 1, an azide-substituted phosphorane, has been found to react with triphenylphos-phine in a normal Staudinger fashion to give a phosphine imide-substituted phosphorane, 2, with the novel λ5 PNλ4P-grouping. The identity of 2 has been established by spectroscopic means, and by a single crystal X-ray determination of 2 (as a 1 : 1 solvate with toluene).
