Abstract
The separation of keratin fibers into major components of known amino acid composition is described. A new method for calculating the amounts of protein in each component based solely on amino acid composition is given. The theoretical basis of the method and its reliability under experimental conditions is discussed and compared with other available methods. Applications of the new method to further problems are considered. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
