Abstract
Multiple antennas can be used for increasing the amount of diversity or the number of degrees of freedom in wireless communication systems. We propose the point of view to study the tradeoff between the two types of gains. In this paper, we present the complete results on the optimal tradeoff, and give a brief discussion on the techniques used to get the results. Keywords
