Abstract
A child is described with an arteriovenous communication between the left phrenic artery and the left pericardio-phrenic vein. The differential diagnosis of continuous murmurs in the chest is discussed in the light of this case. The hemodynamic consequences of arteriovenous communications and indications for their surgical treatment are briefly outlined. Keywords
