Abstract
We report the observation of resonant x-ray magnetic scattering in . The experiments were performed by tuning the incident energy to the Nd , , and absorption edges. The largest count rates, up to 300 counts per second, were obtained at the edge. Antiferromagnetic long-range order is seen below =37 K. Polarization analysis confirms that the scattering is magnetic in origin and consistent with a dipole excitation, suggesting that the Nd 5d bands are polarized.
