Abstract
Some propanolamine derivatives were synthesized and their .beta.-adrenergic blocking activities were determined [rat and guinea pig atrial preparations]. Among the compounds tested, all compounds with benzothiazole nucleus had potent .beta.-adrenergic blocking activity, and those with other nuclei failed to produce substantial .beta.-blocking activity with one exception. Three compounds with benzothiazole nucleus were more potent than sotalol in their .beta.-blocking activity, and the other 2 were equipotent to sotalol. One with benzotriazole nucleus had about the same .beta.-blocking activity as sotalol. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
