Abstract
A method has been developed for the analysis of polychlorinated bi‐phenyls and organochlorine insecticides in sewage sludges. Individual steps in the analytical procedure have been evaluated and statistically analysed results are presented for the influence of solids concentrations upon extraction efficiency. The use of spiking as a method for the determination of extraction efficiency has been investigated and proven to be valid. Keywords
