Abstract
Multiple-wavelength photonic integrated emitter arrays are demonstrated for low cost direct-coupled wavelength-division multiplexing applications. Each array consists of eight pie-shaped top-emitting vertical-cavity lasers with a manufacturable planar structure. The achieved linear channel spacing and total lasing wavelength span are 4.0 and 28.8 nm, respectively. Keywords
