Abstract
The vibration‐rotation absorption band of nitrous oxide associated with the fundamental bending vibration ν2 at 17μ was measured with a grating ruled with 2000 lines/in. and the molecular constants were determined. It was not possible to detect any change in the centrifugal stretching constants for the two states involved in the transition. Keywords
