Heat Pulses in NaF: Onset of Second Sound

Abstract
In NaF, NaI, and LiF crystals of modest chemical or isotopic purity, only ballistic and diffusive propagation of heat is observed. In very pure NaF an additional pulse occurs. This pulse shows the behavior of incipient second sound.Keywords
