Abstract
A general review of the methods and results of studies on the growth of root hairs in solutions of CaCl2, Ca(OH)2, and Ca(NO3)2 at various ph values is given. Curves, figures, and 3-dimensional graphs are presented from papers I, II, III, IV, V, and VI of the series published earlier in the Amer. Jour. Bot., as well as from unpublished Ca(NO3)2 data. The importance of the method given in the study of plant nutrition is discussed. Keywords
