Abstract
The study of turbulence in pure superflow has been extended for the first time to flow in tubes of high-aspect-ratio rectangular cross section. The present results are in quantitative agreement with those obtained previously in tubes of circular cross section. This geometry independence of pure superflow turbulence is in marked contrast to the turbulence associated with thermal counterflow and invites comparison with the Schwarz theory of homogeneous superfluid turbulence. The magnitude and temperature dependence of the turbulence are in good agreement with the theory and strongly suggest that the turbulence in pure superflow is homogeneous. Keywords
