Abstract
In this article I intend to analyze linguistically, from a critical perspective, the concept of discursive persuasion in relation to the globalization phenomenon. I first present an updated review of the literature on the latter, as well as on persuasion and politics in Argentina at the turn and at the end of the century. Qualitative methodology has been used. The corpus has been already analyzed in two projects, on the above topics. Six texts in all, belonging to both periods, have been chosen as examples. Keywords
