Abstract
Cortisol and a steroid identified tentatively as a 17-hydroxycorticoid are abundant components in adrenal incubates of young male mice but are suppressed after sexual maturation. These data suggest that the mouse adrenal can elaborate large quantities of 17-hydroxycorticoids and that production of these compounds may be inhibited by androgens. Keywords
