Abstract
Experimental spectral distributions are approximated by curves which are Gaussian in frequency. Color coordinates and luminosities are calculated, as functions of the Gaussian parameters. This approach is extended to make possible a detailed analysis of the problem of color reproduction in tricolor cathode ray tubes. Variations in luminosity, color triangle area, and radiance ratios are related to the two parameters defining the Gaussian distributions. Keywords
