Abstract
Organizational communication scholars have traditionally focused on internal communication among employees. A significant aspect of organizational communication, however, also occurs in the statements made by top management. Chrysler's Lee Iacocca epitomizes this management rhetoric. The author uses the management roles proposed by Mintzberg to analyze Iacocca's rhetoric during the crisis at Chrysler. Keywords
