Abstract
A dietary study among 110 teenage girls and 87 pregnant women revealed that their mean Fe intake was lower than the Recommended Dietary Allowances (18 mg Fe daily). This is apparently due to a relatively low energy intake. In Scandinavian food approximately 40% of the energy calories are derived from animal products. Apparently 90% of all pregnant women can cover their Fe requirement without further supplements. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
