Abstract
In a conventional word-list experiment a word is more likely to be recalled if it is generated, rather than merely read, by the subject. In free-recall learning, the generation effect was no different when the words were studied in a phonemic or in a semantic encoding context, although the semantic context facilitated learning. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
