Blood Leucocyte Response in Rats Fed a Magnesium Deficient Diet.

Abstract
Rats placed on a Mg deficient diet developed a blood leucocytosis which was coincident with the hyperemia of the ears. The peak leucocytosis was observed on the 8th day of the diet. All of the white blood cells contributed to the leucocytosis. However, the eosinophiles were increased relatively more than the other types, being elevated by 1000%.
