Abstract
The bromo-acetals (2), which may be prepared from allylic alcohols by reaction with 1,2-dibromo-1-ethoxyethane, may be converted in HMPA-Et3N to allyl 1-ethoxyvinyl ethers (1, R5 = Et) which undergo Claisen rearrangement.Keywords
