Abstract
The artificial air space was rotated to a new choriallantoic membrane area after its formation. The rotation was made to reduce the occurrence of nonspecific lesions in the inoculation area. A statistical assessment of this method with variola virus titrations gave a significantly higher mean value and a 66% reduction of nonspecific lesions as compared to a non-rotated method. The advantages and application of this technique are dis-cussed.Keywords
