Abstract
Dodecyl glycerol inhibits the synthesis of the peptidoglycans of S. faecium ATCC 9790 and S. mutans BHT. This metabolic regulation represents the second known mode by which dodecyl glycerol expresses antibacterial activity. The first mode of action of dodecyl glycerol was shown to stimulate autolysin activity which degrades cell-wall peptidoglycan. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
