Abstract
An exact analysis is given of the free modal vibrations of a circular plate having a lenticular thickness variation. Explicit closed-form expressions are found for the frequencies and mode shapes. It is found that the frequencies are dependent on Poisson's ratio, whereas the mode shapes are not.Keywords
