The absorption spectrum of trivalent chromium in guanadine aluminium sulphate hexahydrate

Abstract
The absorption spectrum of the ferroelectric guanadine aluminium sulphate hexahydrate containing trivalent chromium, has been measured between 12 000 cm−1 and 25 000 cm−1. The polarization properties of some of the lines have been investigated. A discussion of the spectrum is given in terms of ligand field theory.
