Abstract
The absolute threshold for hearing was measured at 7 a.m., noon, 5 p.m., and midnight for 4 days on 6 listeners. No diurnal periodicity appeared, indicating that time of day per se does not constitute a significant source of variance in studies using absolute sensitivity as the dependent variable. Keywords
