Ureteral Strictures Following Radiotherapy: Incidence, Etiology and Treatment Guidelines

Abstract
Stricture of the ureter following X-ray therapy is an uncommon condition. Fifteen years of experience at a teaching hospital are reviewed. [A total of 712 patients with malignancies of the cervix, endometrium, ovary and rectum were treated with radiotherapy.]. Predisposing factors and results of treatment are outlined; the literature is reviewed. Recommendations for surgical treatment are given.
