Abstract
276 Shigella cultures were divided into 2 groups on the basis of growth or no growth at 45[degree] (Eijkman reaction): Group I consisted of 86 cultures which did not develop at 45[degree] and included strains of S. dysenteriae, paradysenteriae, ambigua, Newcastle and equirulis; Group II contained 190 cultures which grew at 45[degree] and included strains of S. sonnei, alkalescens, dispar (madampensis) and ceylonensis.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
