Abstract
The Rockefeller Foundation, in one form or another, was the major supporter of sex research in this country for over 40 years, from before the beginning of World War I to after the end of World War II. The kind of research the foundation supported, decisions made about the possible publication of a journal devoted to sex research, and ultimately the support of Kinsey, have deeply influenced subsequent developments in sex research in this countryKeywords
