Abstract
A letter from the editor is presented, which discusses the review process of publications submitted to the periodical. He mentions how the average length of reviews have changed since the mid-1980s, along with the length of the letters from the editors to the authors of the manuscripts. The audience of the reviews are looked at as the author of the manuscript as well as the editor of the periodical. This periodical uses three reviewers for every submitted manuscript, and the ad hoc reviewers are not required to prove their qualifications, although two of the three reviewers are usually part of the editorial board.
